Amy Winehouse for Fred Perry in stores now!

I have previously posted about Amy Winehouse and her collaboration with Fred Perry. Well the entire collection has now hit www.fredperry.com!

Here are my personal faves!

Good job Amy! Although I am not a fan of the color pink, the powdery pink shade she chose for her pieces is very cute and vintage looking. Who knows, you may see me in a pink Fred Perry polo soon!

Nadinoo - Fall 2010

I am completely enamored by British brand Nadinoo's Fall 2010 collection! It is so girly and fun. I can imagine wearing these pieces to a tea party in the English countryside-which is exactly where I want to be right now.

So I am officially in lust!

Amy Winehouse for the House of Laurels!

I am actually very happy with the collaboration between Fred Perry and Amy Winehouse. She is everything I want my British celebrity to be, always drunk, loud mouth, a bit vulgar, with a retro style and loads of musical talent.

Amy total fits the description above, not only that but she has always been rocking the laurels and in a way Fred Perry owes her for bringing the brand into the public eye, for women at least, a lot of Brit Boys (mhmmm, brit boys...) rock Fred Perry already.

Amy has this to say about her love affair with the house of laurels:

“…Fred Perry is my be all and end all. I've always loved it, always worn it, and it feels like a living dream. I'm not an overconfident person, but I'm really sure about this collection."

Below are sketches of her Fred Perry line to hit stores this month. She will also be modeling the clothes herself in the November issue of British Glamour. I have to get an issue!

I think this collection couldn't come at a better time. With Ben Sherman no longer carrying a womens line, Fred Perry could totally rein over the Brit fashion scene.

Lanvin for H&M

Here is your first sneak picture of the Lanvin collection coming soon to H&M. Love the blazer on the right!

The collection will consist of 30 pieces 15 accessories for Women, and 25 pieces 10 accessories for Men. Collection hits stores in November but don't worry, it'll sell out in 2min because there will be crazy ass people who will buy everything their grubby little hands can get and then resell it for triple the retail value on ebay, leaving us normal folks-S.O.L

I'll be the Debbie Downer of Fashion.

Perfect Hair Forever...

Hello, I'm April. And I am addicted to haircuts.

That's how my journey through Haircuts Anonymous will start. And then I will gush about my obsession with clean haircuts and the feeling of euphoria that I get when I cut my hair. It is so therapeutic.

I  remember a few years ago I was dating a real gem of a guy (insert sarcasm here) and I would constantly be upset and sad. I was getting my haircut at that time at Carlton Salon. Every time I would be super pissed by whatever "gem" decided to do that time, I would go cut my hair. After a while, Monica, who would do my hair, exclaimed, "You sure come in here often" That was my last time there. I was sure that my secret was out on how haircuts are my therapy sessions.

Well its been over a month since I have had my haircut and I must admit it is driving me crazy, making me feel down and overall making me very anxious. How can it be that I have all these emotions because I haven't had my hair trimmed? I can't wait till Haircut Anonymous starts!

Below are examples of what I consider perfect haircuts. Stylish people with precise dos! I love it!

Bird of the Day - Penelope Tree

John Lennon was once asked to describe model Penelope Tree in 3 words, he replied with "Hot Hot Hot Smart Smart Smart"

Penelope Tree was an American model who hit it big  in the late sixties. Her look, elfin and very tall and slender, made her a huge success overseas and her look defiantly inspired the swinging London movement.

She appeared in countless magazine and editorials during her short modeling career. Her modeling career came to a holt in the early 70s supposedly because she developed adult acne and people refused to work with her.

She is quoted when asked about the demise of her modeling career saying, " I went from being sought-after to being shunned because nobody could bear to talk about the way I looked"

I think Penelope is a doll. Those round -wide eyes and legs that go on for miles are traits girls like me would kill for! Its a shame how cruel fashion can be, I think Penelope is one beautiful bird.

Long legged Penelope

She gives me a Daisy Lowe vibe in the picture above.

Great shoes!

Americans, Get The London Look!

Our very own gal from the states, Zooey Deschanel, has signed on to be the new face of Rimmel London Cosmetics. She joins other Rimmel spokeswomen like Queen Kate Moss, Lily Cole, Georgia Jagger  and Sophia Ellis - Bextor (singer of one of my favorite tunes ever, "Murder on the Dancefloor")

I didn't know exactly what to think when I first saw Zooey's Rimmel commercial. Zooey never struck me as a cosmetic line kinda a girl. And her American accent does sound a little odd when she reads the famous "Get the London look" line at the end of the commercial, but overall, Rimmel did a fine choice when choosing her as an American representative for Rimmel. I'm so happy it wasn't someone annoying like Lauren Conrad or a Kardashian.

Here is a little taste of Zooey for Rimmel. Or course her first campaign is for mascara. With those baby blues she has she can sell mascara like pancakes!

So 2005.

I really don't have any pictures of myself. One reason being because some dickfaces robbed my mothers house about a year ago and stole all of our family albums (Really? Who does that?) another reason because around that same time some other dickfaces robbed me and stole my laptop with years and years of photos and yet another reason I don't have a lot of photos of myself is because I am not a fan of taking photos. So there you have it.

Recently going through old accounts, I found a photo shoot my sister and I did in her room at our old Mina house. So finally a face (even though the pictures are 5 years old) behind the blog.

More old pictures to come??
