Orla Kiely for Clarks shoes

In my book, Orla Kiely could never do wrong. So when I found out the the famed English clothing line was teaming up with Clarks the famed English footwear line I thought it was the perfect merger made in English fashion heaven.

The styles won't be available to us mere mortals till February 2014 but here are a few photos to tide us over till then.

Hooray! It's Orla Kiely Autumn / Winter look book time! This is always such a special time of year for me. I'm really loving the Orla Kiely pieces in Baby Blue and Maroon such as the knit 2 piece outfits and the maroon pinafore dress with baby blue blouse. Perhaps Orla Kiely is a West Ham United fan? :)

And please someone tell me the remarkable lip color and amazing shoes the model is wearing. I'm almost more obsessed with that oxblood lip gloss and deep burgundy Mary Jane heels than the clothing line itself! Makes me pine for the 90's. So moody and cool.

Orla Kiely Spring 2011 Dresses!

I find this time of year in Los Angeles very exciting. The days are nothing short of perfection! The days are sunny and clear, the temperature is in that ever most comfortable in between phase of shedding its winter briskness and adapting to warmer spring weather. It's the time of year right before Los Angeles climate becomes intolerably hot and all around painful. In other words, this time of year is the perfect dress weather!

Now don't get me wrong, any weather is dress weather. But what makes this time of year so special for dress lovers in LA is that we can finally bear going out at night bare legged. It's time to give the tights and stockings a rest.

And what better way to celebrate unofficial Los Angeles dress weather than by ogling over Orla Kiely's S/S 12 dresses! Orla Kiely Autumn / Winter 2011 Collection

Irish designer, Orla Kiely, has took a turn at dark & sophisticated in her latest A/W collection. Still holding on to her youthful, playful esthetic, her current collection does seem to have grown up a bit this season.

In this collection you'll see a big introduction of darker, more seasoned colors like black, olive, charcoal gray, and variations of rust. There is also an addition of  refined pieces like high waisted pegged slacks,  sharp tailored trousers, and wide legged pants. (Because a girl can't live on dresses alone which I have recently been learning).

But of course the collection wouldn't be complete without Orla Kiely's smart tailored coats, elegant knit dresses, and alluring patterns that have put Orla Kiely's talent and creativity on the map! Overall this collection shows us that growing up may not be all that bad!
