Modern Mod Maven - Gizzi Erskine

With the 60's trend in full swing this season, it's nice to see some ladies do the mod look not because of it's moment in the spotlight, but because *ahem* "it's a way of life."

Gizzi Erskine is one of those modern mod mavens with an impeccable 60's style sense! The British chef and TV personality wears her signature bouffant and cute collection of shift dresses with my favorite - peter pan collars! Hooray for the modern mod maven! Ahoy hoy salutes you!

Kling Winter 12/13 Collection

I am so utterly excited to be posting about the oh-too-sweet Spanish label Kling's winter collection! I recently discovered them and I couldn't be more in love with their line. Their Winter collection is extensive and is a very thorough. The look book itself is a 189 page plethora of colorful, awe inspring basics, outwear, dresses, shoes and accessories. It is very impressive and choc full of darling pieces that  the Kling look book describes as:

"Like New York flappers, like a nowadays Louis Brooks; a bob hairstyle and 20's pleated cocktail dresses with a contemporary feel. Frenchy pop knitwear with a lot of stripes and dots, always with a lovely splash of colour."

Frida Gustavsson for Elle Sweden

Behold Miss Frida Gustavsson in a picturesque photo shoot for Elle Sweden. Miss Gustavsson graces the pages of Elle wearing 1940's influenced frocks by Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana & Sonia Rykiel. But of course what really stole my affection in this photo shoot are those ridiculously enamoring collars! I could never have too many collars in my life.

TBA Spring 2012

With my birthday just around the corner, now is the best time ever to justify buying a new dress. What better time than as I voyage deeper into my late 20's (ugh, must I remind myself?) to reward myself with something new, wearable and full of lust?

I've pretty much decided that this year I will purchase a TBA dress from their Spring 2012 collection. Oh TBA, how I love your perfect pleats, your mini hemlines, and of course keen collars. Let one of these dashing dresses and I ring in another candle on the birthday cake.
