Separated at birth?

Well more like separated by a few decades. It amazes me that young celebrities like Lily Allen and Daisy Lowe have dopplegangers who were born a good 30 years before them. The physical similarities are uncanny. Kate Bush and Daisy Lowe have the exact doe eyes, sultry brown mane and even similar pouty smiles. As where Lily Allen and Billie Davis have the same big, round dark eyes and thick 60's vibe bangs. I love them all and just comes to show you that old can be new again and great beauty transcends time!

Kate Bush born 1958, Daisy Lowe born 1989

Bille Davis born 1945, Lily Allen born 1985.

Granny Chic in VOGUE

An adorable little editorial I came across from a older issue of Vogue. The model is a very cute Gemma Ward sporting short black hair (my fave) and vintage inspired tweeds, furs and wools. The clothing is very elegant and I could only wish I had some of these pieces in my closet.

Charm Magazine- Summer 1955

I came across these delightful photographs from a fashion magazine in 1955 called, Charm Magazine. I doubt this magazine is still in publication, but I would definitely love to see more of their editorials! They are beautiful vintage masterpieces - elegantly styled!

Have a fantastic weekend everyone. Get some fresh Spring air (and wear sunscreen)!

Olivier Borde S/S 2011

Olivier Borde Women's  Spring / Summer 11 collection totally embodies the simplicity, freshness, and modernism of 1960's French Riviera. This collection looks like it was plucked straight out of a young gamines closet who summers along the beaches of the French coast. The pieces look crisp, modern, and extremely chic. It is the perfect balance of casual cool.

Marmalade Spring 2011

One of my favorite Mod-inspired lines, Marmalade, has just sent me their Spring 2011 look book and once again, they do not disappoint when it comes to providing vivid ladies fashion with a quirky, fresh 1960's revival. Marmalade is everything a 60's inspired clothing line should be, fun, bright, charming and modern (After all, without Modern we wouldn't have Mod!)

What I have always liked about Marmalade is their attention to detail. From their perfect pleats, uniformed buttons, rich colors, to that oh-so-adorable Mary Quant inspired black daisy buckle on their sunny yellow dress (my favorite from the collection) their line is as fun to wear and it is adorable!

Without further ado, here are my favorite dress from Marmalade Spring 11.

Viva La Juicy owes Peggy & Rudi!

I noticed these Juicy Couture ads for their fragrance, Viva La Juicy and immediately thought of Rudi Gernreich & Peggy Moffitt! The Juicy ad's are very cute and playful but I couldn't help but feel that Peggy and Rudi have been robbed! Which proves once again, everything old is new again!

My one and only Peggy Moffitt modeling Rudi's Japanese School Girl pieces. No one does it like my lovely Peggy!

Prada Autumn / Winter 2011

Prada showcased their Fall / Winter 2011 collection at the Milan Fashion week and I love the whole Mod/Aviator look ! The shapes of the clothing look very aerodynamic and the colors and prints very Mod. Overall the designs have a fantastic retro / futuristic vibe that is incredibly chic and extremely feminine! The head pieces are amazing as well. Is it safe to say that Prada A/W 2011 was inspired a tad by the aviation-chic designs of Pierre Cardin? I think so, and I love it!
