The Bright & The Beautiful

In a sea of black & white themed spring editorials, it is very energizing to see the radiant colors featured in this months Harper's Bazzar. Bette Franke is illuminating in Chanel, Arkis, Burberry, Stella McCartney, Ralph Lauren, Lanvin, Dior and that stunning, jaw dropping canary yellow 3/4 length Michael Kors coat that forever will haunt (in a very pleasant way) my dreams!  These pieces are so lively and so vivid that you cannot help but feel that spring has finally sprung upon us.

Graphic Impact Harper's Bazaar February 13

Black & white graphics are huge this spring! It's presence in collections by  Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Prada, and countless others, has made a profound impact in fashion trends and I for one  could not be more excited! Black & white graphics, especially stripes, have always been a favorite of mine and I shutter with complete enthusiasm with each magazine editorial that features this very mod, very smart trend.

Nadinoo SS11 Look book

It's finally here! One of my favorite British brands, Nadinoo, has released their Spring/Summer 2011 Look Book. The line continues to stick to what they do best - enchantingly feminine and romantic clothing! I plan to add a must have Nadinoo tea dress to my collection very soon. I truly feel I can never have too many girly dresses in my wardrobe.

April in the words of T.S. Eliot

‎"APRIL is the cruellest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land,
mixing Memory and desire, stirring
Dull roots with spring rain." -TS Eliot

Wow. What an April this has been. Cruel indeed. But Spring means rebirth and changes right?

Charm Magazine- Summer 1955

I came across these delightful photographs from a fashion magazine in 1955 called, Charm Magazine. I doubt this magazine is still in publication, but I would definitely love to see more of their editorials! They are beautiful vintage masterpieces - elegantly styled!

Have a fantastic weekend everyone. Get some fresh Spring air (and wear sunscreen)!

Olivier Borde S/S 2011

Olivier Borde Women's  Spring / Summer 11 collection totally embodies the simplicity, freshness, and modernism of 1960's French Riviera. This collection looks like it was plucked straight out of a young gamines closet who summers along the beaches of the French coast. The pieces look crisp, modern, and extremely chic. It is the perfect balance of casual cool.
