Bird of The Day BOY EDITION!-Terry Hall

In honor of Mr. Terrance Edward Hall's 52nd birthday tomorrow, I hereby crown him Bird of The Day! (It's the highest honor here at Ahoy hoy!)

Terry Hall is best known as the frontman for the popular British band, The Specials. He fronted The Specials from 1978 - 1981. While fronting the band, The Specials had such hits as "Ghost Town", "Too Much Too Young", "Gangsters" and "Message to you Rudy"

After leaving The Specials, Hall went on to form  2 more bands in the 80's; Fun Boy Three with 2 of his Special's band mates, Lynval Golding and Neville Staple, and The Colourfield. Both bands went on to scoring hits in the UK.

Terry later went on to perform in Terry, Blair, and Anouchka, Vegas and in a solo career.

Today Terry Hall is still making music and has collaborated with everyone from The Lightening Seeds (swoon!) Tricky, Lily Allen, Damon Albarn, Nouvelle Vague and countless others!

Here here Mr. Terry Hall!

Happy (early) Birthday to one of the godfathers of cool!
