Charm Magazine- Summer 1955

I came across these delightful photographs from a fashion magazine in 1955 called, Charm Magazine. I doubt this magazine is still in publication, but I would definitely love to see more of their editorials! They are beautiful vintage masterpieces - elegantly styled!

Have a fantastic weekend everyone. Get some fresh Spring air (and wear sunscreen)!

Peter Pan Collar Porn - Luminia Etsy Store

Do you love Peter Pan Collars as much as I do? Do you immediately press the "Add to Cart" button when you spot a new Peter Pan collar dress on Modcloth, ASOS, Topshop or Etsy? Do you dare to dream of a wardrobe where every single item has a Peter Pan collar? Even your bathing suit? Well then Madam, you've come to the right place!

If you feel the way I do in my description above, you could only imagine how tickled my fancy was when I came across the Luminia Etsy shop. This darling little Etsy boutique is based in the UK and makes adorable, handcrafted Peter Pan collars. Oh can you feel the love?!

These beautiful little works of art com in a variety of colors, fabrics, sizes and each with its own unique detail. Add some vintage school girl charm with the removable collars to plain dress, blouses, sweaters, coats or wear them alone (rawr!)

As you can imagine, I have already sent my hard earned money to purchase one. And depending on what I think of it once I receive it (like I don't already know I'll love it) I'll surely be adding more to my unhealthy, yet loving Peter Pan obsession.

These handmade treasures are tres chic and highly affordable. Collect them all kids!

High Fashion Crime Scenes

Photographer Melanie Pullen has beautifully combined two of my favorite subjects; Haute Couture and Crime Scenes. God only knows how many hours I have spent either reading fashion magazines and blogs or reading the Los Angeles Times Homicide reports and scouring the Internet for crime stories and pictures. With Melanie Pullen's beautiful book, High Fashion Crime Scenes, I get the best of both worlds. It makes my fashion obsessed, morbid little heart aflutter.

What I find most interesting about Melanie's work is that she thoroughly researched LAPD's archives and their vast amount of vintage crime scene photographs (ooh what I would do to have that same chance!) and used the archive's to re-enacted the grim scenes with models and couture by Prada, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Jimmy Choo and other high end labels.

The crime scenes are beautifully photographed elegantly styled, and alluringly grim. High Fashion Crime Scenes is a masterpiece!
