My favorite model in the world, Cecilia Mendez, putting the cute in Korean ELLE GIRL magazine!

I have yet to see my darling Cecilia in any US publications. Maybe America isn't ready for my girl!

Oh heart be still!

Turkish VOGUE October 2010 Pictorial - Goth and lovely

What's black, white and red all over? This amazingly moody photo shoot featured in the October 2010 issue of Turkish Vogue!

The model is Gwen Loos and in this pictorial it's all high drama with a nod to all things romantically goth.

The photo shoot is styled extremely elegant with a pop of red in every shot. The dark, inky brows painted on Gwen's beautiful ivory face makes me want to grab a sharpie and paint mine on grotesquely black, thick and straight. I cannot emphasise how much I adore bold brows!

I swear, the European versions of VOGUE are way more superior to our own here in the US. Less celebrities on covers US VOGUE and more stunning styling like this! (please)

I love all the pieces in the spread. Black is my favorite color to wear.

Orla Kiely Spring / Summer 2011 collection

Orla Kiely never disappoints! They've done it again in their S/S 2011 collection, mixing a variety of fabrics like tweeds, sheer chiffon's, bold knits, and silks and adding their extremely feminine, classic touches to it.

Orla Kiely can do no wrong!

I am in total lust over that pastel mint green shoulder bag and Cat-eyed sunglasses! Pleeeeease let that shoulder bag and those sunglasses be at the next Orla Kiely sample sale at the Cooper Bldg! Please fashion gods! Please!

Orla Kiely Spring 2011 Look Book

The weather in Los Angeles has been absolutely sunny and warm! More than ever I have been dying to be outdoors, at the beach, on a road trip, or just sunning outside.

This Orla Kiely look book, featuring pieces from their Spring / Summer 2011 collection, embodies that So Cal spirit of sunshine, fun, and cool looking women.

I can smell the sunscreen and warm air already!

Marmalade Spring 2011

One of my favorite Mod-inspired lines, Marmalade, has just sent me their Spring 2011 look book and once again, they do not disappoint when it comes to providing vivid ladies fashion with a quirky, fresh 1960's revival. Marmalade is everything a 60's inspired clothing line should be, fun, bright, charming and modern (After all, without Modern we wouldn't have Mod!)

What I have always liked about Marmalade is their attention to detail. From their perfect pleats, uniformed buttons, rich colors, to that oh-so-adorable Mary Quant inspired black daisy buckle on their sunny yellow dress (my favorite from the collection) their line is as fun to wear and it is adorable!

Without further ado, here are my favorite dress from Marmalade Spring 11.

Duckie Brown - for the Refined Rudie!

I may be a little late in posting this since it is a Fall 2010 collection, but I was so enamored by it I just wanted to showcase it!

Duckie Brown  is a menswear line based out of New York and was started by designers Steven Cox and Daniel Silver in 2001. Duckie Brown mission is simple and straightforward, "dressing men beautifully".

I really like their Fall 2010 collection because it has a very refined rude-boy look to it. Like something Terry Hall or Suggs McPherson would wear onstage or to an awards show back in their Madness / The Specials heyday. Bold, fashionable and very Brit!

The Duckie Brown collection is doing rude-boy right, with its edgy punk inspired plaid, color block jackets, bright red 3/4 length coats, and pegged, high-water trousers (I don't know why but I've always been a sucker for men in slightly high-watered pants, it's very Rock - n -Roll) The collections tailored pieces are versatile and unique!

I also love this look cause it's a sharp mens look and I am quite sick and tired of the same old generic Dandy / Hipster / Fashionista look all these "fashionable" boys in LA have had going on for the last 3 years or so. They so need a change! I mean if you are gonna do Dandy do it right! I want to see top hats, ascots, tailcoats and even a darn monocle for goodness sake! Let's not forgot that real Dandies of the 19th century actually had good hygiene. I don't get these fake Dandies of today with greasy unkept hair and a 5'o clock shadow. The OG Dandies are rolling over in their graves!

Anyways, thats enough venting for today...whew!

Terry Hall with The Specials looking too cool for school!

Suggs McPherson with Madness playing one of my favorite unconventional love songs ever!
